what is it that i miss most about art

i think that art is going the same direction as society and for once it has given up its leading position. this is so sad why are we not telling the meta-narratives that the world so wants to hear. why are we giving up the power that we have and letting what our past is to become our navel gazing goal. and in the process the clever has been cooped by advertisement. the only option left is to destroy what exists and start something new
